Bailey joined us in mid 2016 and has settled in very well as a member of the team. As an ‘army child’ Bailey was used to moving and meeting new people (8 schools in various states around Australia!) and, as such, had no problem fitting in at GAH. She previously held down the head nurse position in a busy Adelaide practice and comes to us with a wealth of experience. For us, it’s wonderful to have someone with Bailey’s ability and people skills and she is a wonderful addition to the group. When the position of hospital co-ordinator became available (due to an enforced maternity leave absence!), Bailey was a natural choice for us to fill the role.
At home, Bailey and partner Jason have 2 young children – Jacob and Emily. They also have a Shiba Inu dog named Kik, a lorikeet named Googii and a cat named Obi. Bailey has an unusual (to me, at least) hobby of creating hairbows and several of our patients left the hospital over Xmas adorned with her artwork! She and Jason also love fishing and spend weekends, where possible, on the Yorke Peninsula with the children.
