Dr Luisa Panetta

Dr Luisa Panetta is a South Australian born, bred and trained veterinarian – who was part of the University of Adelaide’s very first Veterinarian Medicine graduating class of 2013.

She joined the Gawler Animal Hospital family in 2018 after working in regional and rural communities in the state’s far north, working with a wide range of clients and patients in a mixed animal practice.

But her passion for small animal medicine led her to her current role at the Gawler Animal Hospital.

Her main area of interest is small animal internal medicine, particularly endocrinology.  She has completed many courses on small animal internal medicine, since her initial studies, and is planning to sit her membership examination soon, with the hope of specialising in the area one day.

Luisa says while puppies and kittens always brighten her day, she has an extra soft spot for her senior patients. She is passionate about providing quality care for the clinics’ senior citizens, to ensure that their quality of life is as comfortable and fulfilling as possible.

When she’s not at the clinic, Luisa loves spending time with her partner Tyson, her HUGE Italian family and with her many furred and feathered babies; which include her Border Collie Willow,  a Coolie called Pepa,  her 3 ginger cats Andy, Benji & CC,  6 pet sheep, 2 pet cows and chickens.    (Yes! She has that many animals of her own)

She also loves spending time outdoors, running, bike running, hiking, and going on camping/4wd adventures.  She has also recently built her dream home in the Adelaide Hills where she loves gardening and tending to an orchard of fruit trees and a veggie patch – she hopes will be serving up the goods soon.

Luisa loves being a veterinarian and hopes to be a familiar face at the Gawler Animal Hospital for years to come!
