Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse
Laura is the latest addition to our team but brings several years of experience in both veterinary nursing and in dog behaviour training (which is a passion of hers). As such, she fits right in with our ‘fear-free’ approach to handling all pets. She’ll also be playing a part in our Puppy Playschool training program where she’ll be a great addition to the current team.
Her favourite part of work is being able to treat our patients in the same way she’d treat her own pets – lots of cuddles, warmth and kindness. She also loves seeing pets go home with their owners happy, relaxed and safe!
On the home front, Laura has a Boxer, named Winter, and Shaq, a Bull Mastiff. Not content with this, she’s also about to take possession of a French Bulldog pup! Laura and her partner are currently looking for a property in the Barossa or Hills so that she’ll have space for the dogs and a place for Ashy, her lovely Quarterhorse x Arab horse. Her favourite pastimes involve adventures in the outdoors including camping and hiking in the forest with her partner. Ashy is also a regular participant!
Outside of working here, Laura also runs private dog training classes. Her interest in behaviour started with the arrival of ‘Winter’who came with some attitude challenges. To help with this, Laura enrolled in the Delta Society behaviour training course. She’s now at the end of this training and really enjoys teaching other pet owners.
Overall, Laura really doesnt have to worry what to do in her spare time – she doesnt have any!!
