Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse, Consulting Nurse Co-ordinator
Beth joined the Gawler Animal Hospital team at the end of 2016. Having completed a BSc degree course in animal science, she went on to do her veterinary nursing course at TAFE and so comes very well qualified! In a relatively short nursing career, she has picked up a lot of experience and knowledge and brings this with her to GAH. Beth has completed her ISFM Feline Nursing Certificate along with her Hills nurse nutritional consult course. She also completely buys into our practice culture of client service and teamwork and so we’re delighted to have her with us.
Since 2019, Beth has taken on responsibility for the consulting area of the practice. As such she helps the consulting vets as well as running numerous nurse consults of her own. An interest in pet nutrition ties in well with this role as she is able to provide a very effective slimmers program for our patients
At home, she and husband Ben have 3 cats – a Bengal named Bronx, a moggie named Cherry and a Maine Coon called Mochi – a pretty exotic and mixed bunch!!
Outside of work, Beth’s interests are crafts, learning Japanese and travel. Current list of countries visited makes me feel like a stay-at-home – USA, UK, France, South Africa, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Fiji, Singapore, Mexico, Canada and NZ!! Sadly, the advent of Coronavirus put a dent in Beth’s 2020 travel plans – Japan will have to wait for another year now.
In early January Bethany and Ben welcomed their little bundle of joy, Hamish!
