Jen – Veterinary Nurse
Before joining the veterinary industry, Jen spent eight years in Sri Lanka working as a graphic artist with a charity. During her time there she found herself taking in many street dogs and cats, organising their vet care and finding them new homes. It was through this experience that she discovered her passion for animal welfare. When she returned to Australia om 20101 she decided to follow her heart and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Jen has worked in a number of general practice clinics across Adelaide as well as overseas in Asia. She is Fear Free certified and is committed to creating a calm, low stress experience for every pet who walks through the door. She loves making a positive difference to the health and wellbeing of animals and has a particular affection for cats. All cats and more cats.
At home Jen lives with her husband George, Seiko the Kelpie cross, and her three cats Basil, Marvin and Cassy. In her spare time she volunteers with Paws and Pals pop up vet clinics which provide support for people experiencing homelessness. She also enjoys travelling, hunting for treasures – also known as op shopping, listening to eighties vinyl and drinking very strong coffee.
