Caila – Team Leader & Veterinary Technician
Caila is a Veterinary Technician with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology and a deep love for animals of all shapes and sizes. She gained much of her hands-on experience through university placements and joined Gawler Animal Hospital in 2021 while completing her studies. With an interest in feline, canine, lapine, exotics and avian, Caila is passionate about providing the highest standard of care to every patient she meets. She also has an important role as one of our daily Team Leaders.
Outside of work, Caila loves spending every possible moment in or around the ocean. Swimming, snorkelling and surfing are some of her favourite ways to unwind.
At home, she and her husband Brodie, a PE teacher, share their lives with a lively collection of pets. Their family includes two dogs, Levi and Charli, two cockatiels named Mahli and Manu, a bearded dragon called Zuri and two rabbits, Frankie and Ollie.
Caila truly loves the veterinary industry and feels grateful to work in a role where she can care for all creatures whether they are feline, canine, lapine, reptile or avian. Her dream pet would be a Dugong.
